Pipette looks like a zebra crossing

Hint:

ESR Error 3

Answer

Normally caused by a bad O-ring

  1. Check pipette bottom, glass must not be chipped.
    • Replace pipette.
  2. Pipette bottom dirty with dried blood.
    • Clean pipette bottom
    • Check disinfectant flow
  3. Pipette bottom not straight.
    • Replace pipette.

If this happens randomly or with each pipette, check the following.

  1. Check the condition of the fill nozzle O ring.
    • Replace the fill nozzle O ring.
  2. Fill nozzle scratched, due to incorrect washer replacement.
    • Replace fill nozzle
  3. Fill nozzle alignment to pipette incorrect.
  4. Worn out fill nozzle motor.
  5. Possible too low sample volume during aspiration
