Air bubbles entering the pipette during aspiration (FAQ)

Symptom :

Air bubbles entering the pipette during aspiration

Hint :

Can be recognized during the aspiration as blood is falling over the trumpet of the fill nozzle.

  • Check the the vacuum.
  • Check if the bottom of the pipette is dry.
    • Readjust the rinse nozzle.
  • Check the rubber V ring at the bottom end of the pipette is engage with the rinse nozzle during the wash.
  • Check the bottom of the pipette is clean.
    • If dirty, bottom pipette need to be cleaned.
  • The surface tension of the pipette glass is to high, do a Fill and clean with the cleaning agent.
