Insert blood sample RBC aggregation screen

Aspirate

Before inserting blood: Prepare a blood sample for RBC test.

  • Lower the BOB if necessary.
  • Start a new measurement by clicking the <New…(F1)> button in the screen.
  • Enter measurement ID.

The measurement ID is not allowed to contain characters other than digits or letters. It is used to store measurement data (if enabled in the Settings menu). The “Remarks” and “Donation time” fields may be ignored but serve to include sample details.

Always check whether CUP and BOB are clean and dry before entering a blood sample. When CUP and/or BOB are dirty or some cleaning fluid is left, the measurement results may be influenced.

Depending on the instrument there are two ways that the sample suspension may be inserted.

  • For all instruments by pipetting 880 µl directly into the bottom of the cup, followed by slowly lowering the bob.
  • If there is a bracket with a Luer connection on the bob. Depending on the user preference, a syringe can be used to insert 1600 µl (1,6 ml) of the blood suspension

  1. Check if the suspension level is high enough and without air bubbles.
  2. Close the hood.
  3. Press <OK>
