Deformability results 2 parameters explanation

The following result parameters are given in Results file and printed report:

Parameter

Description

Start time

Actual time that was valid after setting a new shear stress and immediately following the image stabilisation time.

End time

Actual time that was valid after the last EI measurement at the given shear stress was performed.

Shear stress (Pa)

Applied shear stress.

Coordinate count or
Crd cnt

Number of coordinates in the iso-intensity curve that describes the shape of the diffraction pattern.

A (pixels)

Vertical axis of ellipse.

B (pixels)

Horizontal axis of ellipse.

EI

Elongation index.

Eof (pixels)

Error of fit. This parameter represents the average distance (in pixel units) of the iso-intensity pixels to the best-fit ellipse that resulted. It reflects how well the iso-intensity coordinates comply with the ellipse model.

#Tries

Number of diffraction patterns that were analyzed at the current shear stress.

#Valid

The number of diffraction patterns that were within the ±2SD confidence interval. This number agrees with the desired count as given in the Settings menu (<Settings<Determinations per shear stress).
