Starrsed Diluent

Intended purpose: Product for the automatic dilution of blood samples in Starrsed ESR analyzers.

Starrsed Diluent is a dedicated IVD product.

Sodium citrate diluent is used for the dilution of undiluted EDTA samples and for the automatic rinsing of the sample system between samples.

• Approximately 5 ml Starrsed Diluent is used for each sample cycle.

The on-board container for Starrsed Diluent is a 1 liter plastic bottle. Fill the container with Starrsed Diluent from the 5-liter bulk container (QRR 010931).

The solution should be discarded if it becomes turbid.
If the diluent does become turbid, clean the diluent bottle thoroughly with 50 ml bleach (containing approximately 5% Na-hypochlorite) and 950 ml de-ionized water (=5% solution). After cleaning, rinse the container thoroughly with de-ionized water. Before refilling, flush the diluent bottle with a little diluent from the bulk container.
