WI-206 Barcode adjustment
Mechanical adjustment of Barcode reader
Re-adjust the barcode reader focus by using the mechanical adjustments bolts. A comprehensive adjustment can be executed with a set of sample tubes with a range of label orientation: When the barcode reader is able to read those 4 test sample tubes the adjustments for the reader is correct. Perform a Read barcode test. It could also be possible that the barcode label is created in a not readable code and cannot be recognised at all (see technical specifications) More information can be found in MRN-014 Keyence configuration and MRN-015 Opticon configuration. Instructions for Advia racks The barcode reader for reading the Advia racks has been adjusted too low, the barcodes that are on the tubes are now on the outer reach of the reader. The barcode reader should be moved up to improve the barcode reading of the instrument. Height adjustment too low. Height adjustment correct. This adjustment can be made by loosening the large screw (VERA130039) that is on the barcode assembly, if this screw is loosened you can move the reader up to the correct position. After tightening the screw, test the barcode reader with a rack in the gripper to see if the barcodes are read. |
